Hearts for Henna
Hearts for Henna is a service-based organization that promotes henna as a form of art that can unite and benefit various communities through fundraising and charity events. We also seek to teach UF students how to apply henna through workshops.

Henna?
Henna is a natural dye that is derived from the dried leaves of the plant Lawsonia inermis. Henna originated over 5,000 years ago in North Africa and the Middle East.
It is often used to decorate the bride's hands and feet for a wedding. A common myth and cultural belief is that when the stain on a bride's hands is darker, it symbolizes that the bride and groom's love is strong.
Henna is also used as a natural hair dye and provides moisture for the scalp.
